Hello my name is Christopher Anderson and I am from Lake Mills, WI... I have a degree in Visual Communications with a background in Art and Photography.

08/25/2008-Present OTR Van Driver, Roehl Transport, Inc. Marshfield, WI

As an OTR driver for Roehl Transport I am responsible for driving a 2007 International 10 speed diesel tractor, maintaining company equipment and delivering customer loads on time and within company guidelines. I am also responsible for routing and fuel mileage goals. I am currently on an 11 days out, 3 days off schedule. I have a tanker endorsement, have driven both van and reefer and will be getting my hazmat.

I was responsible for maintaining the infrastructure and network for a large manufacturing plant in Hartford, WI, and for the administration of the systems on which they run. As an Infrastructure Support Specialist I was responsible for taking Help Desk calls, creating cases from those calls and finding a resolution for any and all issues. I also routed cases for application programming support to the proper persons for resolution. I worked in both the plant and business offices. I was also responsible for the installation of both client and server software and for hardware and network maintenance. I was supporting Citrix, MS Office 2003, XP/2003 O/S, Active Directory and Exchange.

I was responsible for maintaining the media area of our domain which consisted of web casts on Sonic Foundry Software, Windows Media player infrastructure, and PowerDVD. I was responsible for the 24/7 support of software and infrastructure systems, which included, installation, performance, troubleshooting and maintenance of application software, and the hardware on which the software resides. I also performed these duties on the subsystems that the software and hardware resided on while monitoring a 27,000+ node system. I provided expertise in specific software which included Microsoft Exchange, BlackBerry, Research In Motion, and Windows products. I have supported McAfee Antivirus products, Symantec PCAnywhere, McAfee E-Business Server (ENT PGP), FTP for the PGP system, and Netegrity Suite Products which include SiteMinder, IdentityMinder, and SecureProxyServer in the past. I also continued project work (see previous paragraph for details of duties). PMI courses completed for project management include, RUP, “Intro to Project Management”, “Executing, Monitoring & Controlling, and Closing a Project”, “Intro to Project Process Groups and Initiating a Project”, “Project Planning”.

While I worked under the Multi-Platforms Systems Management Domain, I did project work from the concept phase to deployment which included coordinating meetings, Solution Proposals, Systems Design, Proof of Concept, Testing, Contracts, Sub Contracts, Project Plans, Stoplight Reports, and Post Mortem all while coordinating with as many as 15 different Domains. I had worked on projects of all sizes from personal, “Antivirussupport” Web Site, to enterprise wide deployments, Agency Server Upgrade of AV software, to World Wide Web deployment of Customer Self Service Secure Web Site. I developed customer job aides as well as technical documentation for projects including GANTS, Visio Diagrams, MyProject Plans, MS Project forms and timelines, with coordinated deliverables and timeframes with deadlines, and environmental, configuration, network and hardware documentation. I had worked closely with the Exchange and Network teams to coordinate antivirus upgrades, patches and system support. I was also working in my off hours to further my computer related knowledge by taking certification courses and I was working to become certified in several areas included Certified Information Systems Security Professional.

I identified, tracked, escalated, resolved and reported customer problems, of medium to advanced complexity, in the following areas: network O/S, desktop O/S, application software (retail and I/S developed), end-user computing tools, development tools, configuration support, network and mainframe comm., etc. My primary focus was to serve as first point of contact for user problems and inquiries. My secondary focus was to resolve queued problem tickets. I diagnosed problems through conversations with the user community and resolved problems which fall within Client Services guidelines. I escalated more complex problems to the appropriate level and provided independent, capable, professional performance of assigned tasks, under general supervision.

I served as Help Desk Project Lead for company wide McAfee Virus Scan upgrades and maintenance, as well as on project teams for Outlook Install, Helpdesk Status Line Schedule. I also developed job aides for the helpdesk to streamline processes for these and other projects. I served on other committees to provide input on current projects to assist in preparation of Help Desk infrastructure for implementation of IS Solutions. Provided assistance to other staff including higher-level problem solving assistance, knowledge transfer, mentoring, and identification of opportunities to improve departmental knowledge.

I worked as a contactor on the Agency Data System team, installing proprietary software for American Family Insurance. Upon completion of the project I was moved to the Help Desk and performed similar tasks as above at a developmental level until I was hired one year after my start date as a contractor.

09/1998 – 03/1999     Bookkeeper/Office Manager, CDC Development Corp., Madison, WI

I was a bookkeeper in charge of maintaining and tracking all account information on up to 200 clients and vendors using QuickBooks Pro 6.0. I maintained 20 cell phone accounts and billing, as well as office phones. I processed government and bank forms for draws and billing. I assembled and maintained office PCs consisting of Win95/98 O/S running TCP/IP.

05/1998 – 09/1998     Associate Software Support Engineer, Sitel Technologies, Inc., Madison, WI

I supported (Confidential) On-line investment traders with installation, troubleshooting, debugging on Win 95/98, TCP/IP, and LAN, using a knowledge base, PowerPoint and reference guides. I supported installation and troubleshooting of new OS for DOS users upgrading while providing top level customer service for day trader clientele. Used LAN knowledge base for best effort support on NT and Mac.

02/1997 – 05/1998     Assistant General Manager, Residence Inn East by Marriot, Madison, WI

I was in charge of sales goals, reporting, reservations and front desk operations. We served complimentary breakfast and dinner for which I was in charge of ordering, quality control, menus and food prep. I was also in charge of human resources for the hotel and did hiring, firing, and performance reviews. I managed maintenance and housekeeping and was responsible for supplies procurement and room inspections. I managed a total staff of 28. I reported to the General Manager when one was present but most times I was in charge of all hotel operations on my own and reported to the regional manager.

I worked on a live morning news broadcast, videotaped seminars and basketball games for Co-Operative Education Program and I interned at CBS in La Crosse, WI for the evening news while maintaining status on Honor roll.

Special study in Graphic Design, CAD, Electronics, Computer Graphics, TV, Photography and Audio. I worked as a production assistant with Trainco Inc. in Chicago, IL producing training videos. I also worked as an A/V production assistant and event coordinator at the Hotel Nikko in Chicago, IL.

Hobbies

I am an off road enthusiast. I belong to several off road clubs and have coordinated the annual Midwest Xterra Gathering (MXG) for four years 2002-2006. I have maintained a website for the event as well as coordinated sponsorship for the event. Event participation has ranged from 8-17 vehicles with participants coming from as far as Texas, California and Ohio.
